Hunting over a mountain laurel thicket. Lots of deer today (14 total) and took this doe. Had a huge 8 ptr come in after she was on the ground but he saw her dead and backed out.

I spined her and she went down then tried to crawl off with her front legs so I took a shot and hit her in the gut. Not good but she did slide towards me and I put another arrow in her heart to end it.

Good job on the doe.
Tell us about the bow you are using. Looks to be a boo backed R/D and not one of your self bows.

That is a bow Ric Anderson made for me while I was in Afghanistan. It's osage and cocobolo. It's a beauty and shoots like a dream. I really wanted to kill a deer with it this season so I'm a happy camper now. It has a groundhog, deer and about a dozen squirrels on it's belt now
