Nice little bow Ryan, The contrast of the back is a good look and considering it's natural makes it tempting to give that wood a try. Thanks for sharing andcogratulations on a fine bow. sometimes them short little one can be a real challenge to tiller especailly with knots.   Keenan

Nice bow...I love shorties.

I have marked a persimmon tree I plan on cutting down this fall...its huge though.  35 feet tall...branchless for 20 feet or so.   Problem is how strong my back is to haul 6' logs lol

Nice bow, and congratulations on you success. I have had two failures with the Persimmon. When I roughed out freshly split staves and reduced them to near bow dimensions, they ended up twisting terribly. Not only that, the wood checked so badly that I could see daylight through the checks. I have some more, that is  in the drying rack, and won't be rushed.
