« on: August 25, 2010, 06:27:15 pm »
i was wondering how dangerous is a scratch, a decent depth, to the ring on the back of a bow?  i received a stave that has a scratch in the back ring..

I'd remove the ring if you have enough wood to work with.   You may lightly scrape the scratch until it is gone if the ring is thick enough.
