Removing holt melt

Has anyone come up with a way to remove holt melt from field points and broadheads once off the arrow? I have some that is caked in the bottoms and would love to get it all out. Anyone use some kind of solvent? If so, what?

Heat and a cloth will usually get it.

That's what I would do Charlie, heat it and use something to remove it. Maybe even a newly tapered shaft. Then sand paper on a tapered shaft.

I just wipe it off when I put the points on,after I push them on I wipe the left over off while it is still hot.

I use a pair of vise grips to hold the point and lay it on the burner of our stove (it's electric). Then use a q-tip to sop up the melted glue from inside.
