ok i have some arrow shaft now to make arrows what does the three digit numb mean on the ends are the the gram of the arrow? and if so how can i convert it to spine weight

The lower number in the .300 hundreds is the spine.  The Number in the 400's is the grain.  Take the number 26 and divide it by the .300 number what ever it is, make sure to use the decimal, and that is the weight in spine.

when you spined them was it at 28 inches?  so i can figure out the spin at the full length

sweet i am making a few blunt hunting arrows for small game  now that i know that its at 28  i can compensate on the longer length to make it the spine i want :)
