this is the most beautiful broadhead i've made so far

thanks to the rock.
this is a point i came up with this arvo. it's made from obsidian. i cheated a bit with this one. it's from a really thin flake. all i did was shape it, put an edge on it and notch it.

hopefully one day it will go through the lungs of a pig, goat or deer.

that not cheating,using a flake.you still had to nock of the flake.no sense in wasting it  ;)

I'm with Tim on this one...using flakes to make points is not cheating at all.  I'm sure ancient man made most...if not all of their arrow points from flakes. That's just efficient use of materials.   Great point!

Not cheating at all. Most true arrow points in my area were made from flakes.
I like taking big rocks and turning them into smaller pointy rocks. :-)

I have found several points that weren't even flaked on one side,just did  all they had to to get the job done.

That one is sure perty!

 That is a good looking point. I make most of my hunting points from flakes. I've found curved points that were just sharpened on one side also. Oh, like the cut on your thumb, isn't obsidian fun? ;)
