Just put your arm guard down by your wrist, and enjoy yourself. ;) I trimmed my armguard so it has a dip cut in it to fit around the fatty part of my thumb. If you move your armguard down to the thumb area, you won't feel a thing. ;D

i think brace height will help i had to brace my long bow 7.5 to 8.0 to stop hitting my arm and i dont look down the arrow to aim i just look at what i want to hit and then draw and shoot like throwing a football you dont aim you just throw it.

Well I couldn't wait for Monday so I tried my bow that I have here.  I moved the brace height to around 7 or so.  Nothing anymore.  And also practced shooting and I'm getting better.  I shoot better not trying to anchor and not holding either

kinda got it figured out i guess.  i think about it too much.  and then again, maybe its my arrows.  they might have a bit more spine than i need for my 40 and 45lb bows..

Looks like your locking you arm like if you were shooting a compound.Open your stance and crook your arm more[elbow].
I shoot totally instintive.Do the same thing each time, ankor at the same spot each time, consintrate,Look at the smallest spot you can.
