glue question

National Casein DR. Its a powder that you mix with water. Have any of you guys tried it? I just got some and was wondering how well it works.

I haven't used it myself but casein glue is one of the older glues and is made from milk products. It was used by bowyers before the more modern artificial glues were available. The glue is supposed to be capable of providing a joint that is stronger than most common species of wood.

National casien is the name of the company I dont think this is a casien glue. they make a long list of epoxies. This one has urea formeldehyde, resin and hardner in it. It is nice. I glued some scrap with it and bent it til it exploded. the glue line didnt fail. I am working on a couple bows now that are glued with it. I got it from a bowyer that doesnt use it anymore, and its pretty cheap and so far it seems pretty good.
