help with starting

recently a very good guy and member of this forum, nugget, helped me get started with flintnapping and sent me some stuff to do it with. i want to try to make a few blades but dont know how  ??? i cant figure out how to work the stone into a flat peice to make the blade. is there any site i can go to to figure it out?

Go to youtube and search for flintknapping. There are some excellent videos on there. I would also recommend getting DC Waldorf's book "The Art of Flintknapping."And try to get to a knap-in, that will really spedd up your learning curve when you can watch people knap and ask questions.

I concur wholeheartedly ;D. Youtube's, books, vid's, and tonnage. Your best bet is to sit down with somebody who already know's.
When you come upon a track or trail you do not know, follow it to the point of knowing.

look at the calender theres a napp in  in april near you dont you live in white Ga. i will be there and billy from canton will be there theres a lot of venders selling rock and tools  see you there.
