Mid Limb Tapering Question
« on: December 14, 2009, 01:02:01 pm »
I see a-lot of guys like to leave there limbs the same width to mid limb then they start tapering. When you say mid limb are you talking from the end of the fades or from the middle of the handle to half way down the limb to start tapering.

I usually go from the middle of the handle, keep in mind I make most of my limbs the same length. :)
unless I have a reason on the wood not to be able to. :)

I go a little past mid limb as measured from the end of the fades but I also will remove wood from the width to aid in getting a good tiller. Jawge

I usually do like George, a little past midlimb from the fades. I have been known to go the either way from there depending on if I want to put in deflex or reflex and where I put it in.
Everything happens for a reason, sometimes the reason is you made a bad decision.
