Sinew questions

Question 1.  How much sinew do you try to harvest each season?

Question 2.  How many deer legs would it take to do a typical bow?

Question 3.  Would sinew on a red oak board bow be a wise choice?

i can only answer the first of the three q's,and only speak for myself
i try and harvest as much as i can get my hands on
i dont do much deer hunting myself,but i know a lot of folks that do
some that hunt in many other states,and shoot alot of deer each year
some years i can get aolt,other years not as much

1. as much as you can, stop by your local game processing place this year during rifle season if it not already over, i just did this a couple weeks ago. they had a dumpster out back with 400+ deer legs in it. now thse legs were mixed in with all the other carcass parts, and i didn't feel like wading through that so i just picked off the top, i got 20+ of the biggest rear legs whitetail sinews i've seen. whats nice about this is that with so many to choose from you can be picky. Also, get your rifle hunting friends to gather all the deer legs from deer camp, i also did this and got a bunch more, but i had to split them with sailordad  (above post), did you get yours yet tim? i stripped mine last night, and they are drying now.

3. i shot a sinew backed red oak this summer that a friend of mine made, i liked it a lot, it was a snappy little shooter. i think it was only 48" long and about 40 lbs, but it felt like it shot pretty fast.
