Glass Butte
« on: March 01, 2009, 03:19:30 am »
March is the month right?  So who is going to Glass Butte this year?  I presume the event is on for 2009?  Did anyone remember to order up some sunshine and warm temps?  The dacite is cool, but now I would like to add some pumpkin or other exciting materials to my raw materials stock...

Last weekend in march through the first weekend in April. I will be there for the first weekend which tends to be the big shindig and have to leave Monday morning. Found my good sleeping bag so I should be warm enough this year in my tent. Plan for all weather conditions from sunny and 70 deg one hour dropping to 20 and snow the next and back the other way to rainy conditions. You never know what the weather will be like from one hour to the next. Also, bring all your supplies as there are no sources for water or food nearby. But boy oh boy is it fun!!!!

PS: I try to stock up on enough rock to last me the rest of the year. Doesn't take much for me!  >:(  Too busy at times!

Ken Bee - All I need to add to David's response is "It's a Knap-in near Bend, Oregon".

Brian - "I" didn't say "I" was going...  >:D But I am hoping to find out who does like abuse!   :o
