Well now Rick that sure is a sweet looking bow. As was said looks like she knows what to do with it :)

For her next one get her to build her own, give her a rock and a sapling >:D

Bamboo and hard maple Don sounds like a perfect match to me, like peanut butter and jelly :) Going to have to add
it to my to do list.

Nice looking bow and family!  ;D
I've made a few bamboo backed and hickory backed maple bows and right it is a pretty good combo. I've said it before and I'll say it again , good Hard Maple is under rated as a bow wood. I even killed my first traditional deer with a hickory backed maple bow back in like 2000 and its still a shooter today.
Its November, I'm gone hunt'in.......
Osage is still better.....

That is a handsome bow, Rick / Jamie. I’ve always wanted to try bamboo backing to a bow.

Count yourself very lucky that your wife wants to get into archery. Mine I doubt I will ever get shooting, so I’ve pretty much given up on the idea. We are never having kids, and although Davenport I’m sure would love to try, it is really hard for a pug to hold a bow without thumbs :) She refuses to go fetch my arrows from the target, as well (both the pug and my wife).

Don’t tell them I said that, lol.

Very nice looking bow Rick!  Looks like Jamie and you both did a great job.  Hope you have more luck getting your wife outside to shoot than I do!

Your wifes bow turned out very nice, and it looks like she is going to really enjoy it!

Dana- Rock and sapling :D.  I'm just about to get back to mine. I can't see her enjoying it too much.
Aaron-  That would be great I think it would evolve to You, Me and the kids while the wives have a relaxing day away from all of us.
Dane- and Brownhillboy-  I don't know how much she will shoot, but it would be fun to have the family go out now and again.
David- Here is a pic of the belly,  it is really hard to see because it is so thin and it took the stain as well as the maple.
Thanks for the compliments.

Awesome looking bow! The tiller is spot on. My wife enjoys shooting with me, and I consider myself lucky for it. Carry on! And yes, I think it's time junior starting chucking sticks!
