I am building tiller tree and wanted to go with the pulley/scale setup. I have a hansen bow scale on order I plan on using, but I am a little confused how everyone is rigging these things up. How do you tie off the rope when its under pressure for one? Anyone have detailed pictures of their setup?
Thanks

There's a picture of one on my site. This one is takes down and the scale is held in my hand. You don't tie it off, like El said.

What about when you want to run your tillering gizmo thing across the limbs (the flat piece of wood with a pencil poking through the middle to show the flat spots) What do you do to hold it there?

Most use the pencil thingy ..lol.. after it is stung.. Or I did when I used one..

So I am not supposed to be using the pencil thing while the bow is being pulled back? Is the idea never to leave your bow drawn back for more then a few seconds?
