Title: Horse creek clovis
Post by: leapingbare on November 10, 2008, 04:25:40 pm
Ok guys, i am very proud of this point, its probably the best Clovis I've ever done. and i love its colors. these pics show both sides. i was so nervous flooting it, pappy was standing there saying "dont be a #$%%^ and just hit it" so i did and i hit it and whacked it good cause i got good floots on both sides and did not brake the ears off the back. Hope yall enjoy it.  oh yea i was shaking like i had buck fever after i knocked off the 2nd floot.
the 1st pic is the finished point. the 2nd pic is after the 1st floot befor i did the 2nd one and cleaned it up.

Whew! Bet that felt good. Pappy sounded like me when I so lovingly coached Hillbilly fluting one up at Cade's. ;D

Man that is nice.  At first looking at the band of color, I thought you had broken it, and then I read on, and then looked at the other picture, and see it was  just the color band.  Yeah, I don't blame you for being nervous about smacking it.  I was looking at the meat in the picture, and was thinking uh oh, some one has cut them self a lot worse, than me with stone, and then I saw the deer fore leg lying on the ground.  Beautiful work .

That point was so pretty I was almost afraid to hold it for fear of dropping it or something happening to it. You have every right to be proud of that one!  ;)
