Title: backing caused the limbs to set?
Post by: swimbill on November 02, 2008, 06:02:41 pm
Hi
i am working on a red oak board bow, and following advice here I backed it with a .10 thick hickory backing.  before backing it there was no set in the limbs, after backing it with the hickory i noticed it had taken 1/2 inch of set.  Any ideas why?  thanks for the help
