Heres some knapping i did tonite. It is my first ever knife and a smallish pink chert point. I really like the way both of these turned out. It probably the best knapping i have done. I managed to remove some good flakes and get the knife pretty sharp and with the point i managed to remove flakes all the way accross it. It legal hunting size and its really sharp so maybe i could use it someday. Its the sharpest point Ive made. I was happy with the way these both turned out. I do wish i could take a better picture though. THe picture doesnt show much

Good job David, practice makes perfect they say. Get good at it and maybe you can come to the Classic some day and teach me! ;)

Looks like you're starting to figure it out. Sharp edges are what you're after-everything else is eye candy. :)

David: Good looking stuff. Glad to see your folks are letting you knapp again.

Good looking work there. Like hillbilly said, sharp is the most important aspect of a point. Frank

Good looking tools! Gotta wear some eye protection. I got a glass chip in my eye last weekend and it took about a 1/2 hour to get out. I had my safety glasses on........ the top of my head :-[. Keep at it.

Hope to see you at the Classic next year , David.

Good looking rocks there. I like the built in guard on the knife. It may come in handy if it is covered in deer blood and slippery.
-
Mullet i hope isee you at the classic also. I could use some advice from a good knapper.
I wish someday i can pick up a nodule and end up with a nice, thin, shaving sharp, oint or blade
