Well, I passed on a questionable shot on a small buck the other day, and the does and wind haven't been cooperating. But, I decided to take the dogs for another stroll for squirrels...
Of course, it is going to take a lot of strolls to fill the freezer! Haven't been real successful at getting much sinew from the tree rats either... ;D

Good shooting Chad, and good eating at least for one meal anyway... ;)
-
fine shooting brother, good luck with the deer.. you will make big meat soon... HAWK
-
Looks like you got yerself some good partners there Chad ;D. If you can hit squirrels not once, but twice on purpose - you should have no problem with the deer.
-
I think deer are a bit harder for my little buddies to tree.... ;D But, I hope to get close enough on my own soon enough.
The number of squirrels I have hit on purpose is far less than the number I have missed (not on purpose), but I figure the more I try, the better it will get---and the better I will get at making arrows... ;)

Good shooting Chad. It's tuff to hit those small targets.

Nicely done Chad. It does seem like we have a bumper crop of Squirrels this year. They're everywhere.

I know, Mike...and the wealth of acorns on the ground doesn't hurt... ;)

Hey Chad,
Next time we get together your bringing the meat, right? The way my hunting has been going I may not have any backstrap.

You are tough on those fox squirrels. Nice work.

John,
I haven't had any opportunities for a shot yet, either... With the move and building the cabin, I haven't had much time to scout like I normally do...especially with ALL NEW hunting grounds!
I am ready to go for trapping season, though! Guess it may be coon and opossum for the dinner table this year... ;D
