Anyone use one of these? I bought one this weekend, haven't pulled it out of the package yet. Has coarse teeth on one side, finer on the other. Doesn't seem like it should clog. Couldn't resist getting a new tool, it was the only tool I bought at MOJAM. Almost snagged another drawknife but held back knowing the expenditures looming at the auction.

Never tried one, but I've heard from others that they're good.

I hae one in the shop. Some the guys like it others still use the rasps. The thing that I like about it is as you mention.....it does not clog. Takes a bit of getting used to if you are used to a rasp becuse the way you hold it is hogher of the plane then a rasp but after you get used to it it can be a very efffective.

I didn't spring for the one with the two handles, come to think of it I might have to wear a glove to use it with two hands.

I love the shinto. I like to use it to reduce to bow dimensions after bandsawing. I feel it's a bit too agressive for tillering work.
