I got this piece of osage from Ryano last year. I started it at our primitive shoot
in April, and worked on it at the Classic this year. I still need to put more tung oil
on it and probably a leather grip. It is 69" NTN. I started out long and forgot to
trim it down. It is 1 5/8" at the fades to mid limb and 3/8" at the tips. It pulls
50# at 29" and pulls smooth. It has purple heart overlays. Some of the photos
are blurry, I will post some more when I finish it. Thanks for looking.

Fine looking character bow. That big hole is skeery, though. :o

Holy Holes Batman!
That is not a peep sight it's a sight for a mortar! Too cool!
-
Brother, it may be just me, but is there a hinge comming out of the top fade?
-
Ha ha....she made it! ;D I didnt know if even you could pull that one off..... :o
Your the hole bow master..... 8)
-
Hehe, that's really cool! ;D
- and HUGE :D

That is a great looking bow. Any chance of getting a full draw picture that we can see the tiller better? Justin
-
Brother and Sisters! Let us all kneal down and pray for that is one HOLIE bow! ;) ;D ;)
Nice bow Chuck! Man you sure like the tough ones. ;D
-
Thanks for looking.
There is a slight hing between the hole and the fades.
I didn't catch it until too late. I was too worried about
the hole. There is also some bumps in that area, which
makes it hard to see the tiller. I will post some more
photos when I am done with the finish.

That tiller is awesome. Right on. Are you sure the area you think is hinged is not a little hump in the wood? I was looking at the unbraces picture and their seems to be a natural hump there. Jawge

That's a nice looking character bow.
There was a guy on here several years ago that used to makes bows like that regularly. If I remember right his name was Chris Tindall, can't remember his username now

Thanks for looking and the comments.
It takes a little more time, but I like the character bows best.
I got lucky with this one, but it worked out.
I should finish it by Friday, and have some more photos.
Cowboy, I am always interested in character staves.
Pappy, I haven't touch that one lately. I have been busy
making arrows for two different shoots coming up, one
of them being Denton Hills. I will finish that stave before
our hunt in December.
-
Man, that is cool. I would love to get my grubs on one like that .
-
That is too cool. You show up to the range with that bad boy and you gotta get some major double takes.
-
I put on 5 coats of tung oil and added a leather grip.
I got some better photos of the full draw.
Thanks for looking.

Ryan
I shot it last weekend at a local shoot.
It was shooting good, with no hand shock.
I will be at Denton Hills Thursday evening.
We might not be set up in the same area
as last year. I'll look you up.
