Yep, my latest knife is something a little different - A Bamboo Backed Massaranduba handle, with a Brazillian Cherry end cap - to go along with one of my all wood bows. Couple of disclaimiers first - in the last two pics there is a jagged white line that is not on the knife/handle. I have no idea if it was just a wierd reflection of some kind, off the shine, or if maybe I got a dog hair on my lens (probably that because we have five dogs, and I was working the camera on the floor, as I usually do). The other is that, the Bazillian Cherry on the knife handle is much darker than the overlays and riser on my bow was/is, which were more reddish in color - different pices of wood. I liked the look though, so I proceeded with it.
Ok, the blade says it is another "Indian Ridge" (though it doesn't have their "logo") but it also has "Sheffield England" on it in the same place. Perhaps they got some of their blades or stock from there, or maybe it was before they started crafting their own - I don't know, but it is a fine blade, as most from Sheffield England are (IMO). The guard was a large, ugly one that looked like a poor foundry job but, after I filed it down a whole lot, I kinda liked it on this knife. I had a little trouble getting the knife in position for some pics, as this is one knife that evertime you lay it down it rolls over onto the back edge - LOL - like one of my dogs. I have news for it though, if it wants it's belly scratched - I ain't doin' it - not on that sharp blade! So, the little, round item seen in a couple of the pics (used to brace the knife) is just an old brass pill box (with a fawn on it) that I carry in my pocket at all times ("Time for my meds," you know ;).) Hope you at least find the pics interesting to look at.

Thanks, Dana. I'll try to get "in hand" pics today. BTW the size is 5 1/8" blade and 11 1/8" oa length.

Yep, Dana - I kinda thought of it more as a small Bowie, than a big Hunter - but I guess either one would apply - LOL
