It's 59" ntn 50# @27". It's 1-1/4' wide at mid-limb with a slightly narrower handle section. The tips are about 1/2" wide. Just a simple wrapped handle built up with leather underneath. Nothing fancy, just a simple, smooth shootin bow.

i'm gonna guess that it is more than likely just your average everyday, run of the mill
bow wood lol
ok seriously now, osage? that was stained to be darker
if i'm right do i get the bow ;D
just yanking your chain there.
but it is nice looking, i likes them plain,as long as they function

osage
-
GReat Bow!!!! I love it! ;D
i think it is stained osage
-
OK! OK! so I can't fool anybody, at least not you fellers anyway. ;D What gave it away?
-
Almost all your bows are osage! :)
-
the grain and the character was what did it for me.
tim
-
Bow profile then grain.
-
I'd have to say osage cuz of the snakey profile. Not many other woods do that.
-
Hey, what do you use for wrapping your grips ?...nice bow BTW
-
Another beauty Shannon,I love the rap on the grip.Nice job. :)
Pappy

Lookin' good Shannon!
-
Wow! :o
That's the bow that I'd like to make: simple, and very nice, I like it very much, Saw Filer.
How much deep is it at the handle area, at mid limb and at the tips?
And I'm sure it's osage, dyed with any kind of aniline or something like that, isn't it?
;) Congratulations, you've done a very good work.

im gonna take a WILD stab at it...
seeing that the bow is almost perfectly flat on the back..and the sides are wavy...no pin knots.. that it is a red oak board cut wavy and stained good, and the handle is not deep as the thickness of board,so you built it up.
mbg
or i could be TOTALY wrong. lol

Nice looking osage bow. Jawge

Thanks Guys and sorry Jamie... but it's osage. I dyed it with black Rit dye. I was trying for a dark grey or even black, but got a sorta walnut brown instead ???
The handle wrap ain't very primitive either, it's just black nylon twine from wal-mart. It has a nice feel to it and is super easy to apply though.

Thats another beauty Shannon. Aren't you proud of me, I kept my mouth shut! ;D
-
Got anybody around to crank her back to FD?
-
Shannon, That is a beauty!, and it looks like a nice piece of Ipe ;D But the Ipe trees we have here in town don't have that "snake" either.. I think its one of the coolest looking bows I have seen..
The handle wrap compliments it well..

I like it Shannon. Nice and simple and it looks fast.
-
Good job on everything, Shannon. I especially like the grip, shelf and recurved tips. Sweet profile. Looks slender and lethal.

Very cool picture, wait till Bernie see's it. ;)
-
That is a perfect way to show off the tiller...and it is right on! The back lighting really shows off the shape(tillered beauty) without showing the cosmetic beauty of the bow. Pat
-
Very nice Shannon, love that picture. :)
Pappy

Mighty fine looking bow, Shannon. Looks like a perfect hunting bow.
-
Excellent looking bow Shannon. Very well tillered
-
Great tiller, and one of the best full draw pictures I've seen. :)
-
Sweet bow Shannon! Of all the wraps I have tried, thats still my favorite. Makes a great non-slip grip for bow fishin too....Brian
-
Great looking bow. I love bows like that. I think I have one that almost matches it, stain color and everything. ;D Justin

OK! OK! so I can't fool anybody, at least not you fellers anyway. ;D What gave it away?
It wasn't me Shannon I've been camping. She turned out real nice. Man I need to get some shop time
its going to be huntin season before ya know it.
-
Sweet full draw picture Shannon!
-
Deaum. Luv the bow, the tiller and the pic.
-
Nice bow! I stained my first osage bow the same way (black rit dye). What finish did you use? It looks really nice and has a nice dull luster--not too shiny for hunting purposes, but still has a finished look.
