Not only at night with a lantern  light, but the only tools he used on it were a hammerstone and a antler tine, all the percussion and the fluting were done with the hammerstone.

Ya' know Steve, since I came home from Pappy's with that round rock Dana gave me I've been knocking out some thin preforms. I must of never had the right rock.

Wade, I wish I'd been able to see him do it too...and I was sitting right next to him, along with Chris and Steve.  ;D  Between it being mid night, a bit of the single malt, a bit of the sour mash, and Chris in a skirt ::)...well I'll leave it up to your imagination.  ;)    It is amazing watching James Knapp. He is one of the best in the world!!! 8) If I were a knapper I could be soaking up a bunch of knowledge about lithic tools, and I'm sure I have.    Pat

Pat,
you could have been watching him knapp...
but instead you were watching and chasing the skirts...
not my fault... but I think you need to rearrange your priorities.

That's awesome.  How big is it, it looks huge?   :o  James is quite the knapper, and a fun guy to boot.

I've made a few points since the classic, but none I want to post a picture of.  They still have the profile of a football.  Way too thick.  But at least I'm getting faster at making them that way.   ;D
