This is a little detour from what I usually make. Its a bamboo bow made with left over slats that i heat treated a while back. It pulls about 10# at 15"or so. the handle is ash from a buddies place. the arrow is a piece of phragmite reed from the side of the highway here near my house. They are just strong enough from kid bows. I made a foam blunt at the request of Momma. I did a stain job and sealer on it. It shoots pretty good for a little 10# bow. Perfect for little 4 yr old Evee. We are good friends with the family and were babysitting for them while back and she had a little fisher price type plastic bow. so i decided to make her real one. she seemed to like and will no doubt be terrorizing the neighborhood cats with it soon. lol.

Thanks fellas! I’m hoping this will be a neat keepsake for her as she gets older. My grandson is still a little young for a bow yet (8months) but have been asked by my son to make similar when he gets little older. Can’t wait! Start them young they say.

Great little kids bow.

Looking good Dave. Ive made 4 little bows. I find they are very hard to tiller compared to a full grown bow. As mentioned, one of them is probably the best bow I've ever made. My pictures are always distorted or would post a couple photos. All four shoot but my youngest Grandson really has a blast with his.

thanks guys. yes piddler getting the tiller was a little different then i was used to but not too bad. I was aiming for around 10 lbs draw for this one and got darn close.
