Made this leaf blade at work a couple days ago. I love the translucent aspect of this material.

Thanks guys. Rick does knife river have a white cortex sometimes or not?

Yes it can. It should have some small white or creamy color inclusions in it also.

Thanks Russell. Rick then that is probably what is was. Pretty tough stone, much harder than I thought it would be.
