Title: Novaculite and mystery rock
Post by: Allyn T on December 08, 2023, 07:16:40 pm
Some new ones I've done recently. The pine tree is one I snapped about 1.5" off the tip so who knows what it would have been. The blade was done using just percussion with a little bit of pressure. Refraining from using indirect was a challenge but I like the rugged look of the deep percussion scars.

Very nice Allyn. Perfect time of year for the Christmas tree.

Lol yes it is, "pine tree" is a point type from the archaic period though. It's funny I didn't put the Christmas side of it together until I came home and my son told me the same thing
