Haven't been seeing many deer, they haven't cut my corn yet and think that's the problem, it's like a 70 acre thicket they are living in, but have taken advantage of the ones I have seen, had a nice doe come to close Saturday evening feeding on white oak acorns , 8 yard shot, old faithful Osage selfbow, spruce arrow and Ace 160 head, not the greatest shot but she didn't go far, bad thing about hitting one high is watching it happen , the good thing is not much tracking involved. :)

Belated congrats on your 2023 deer kills. A significant accomplishment with a selfbow.

I missed this one! Congratulations. Do you hunt from a tree stand or the ground? Eastern hunting is sort of a mystery to me...although as seldom as I kill anything, I guess I could say western hunting is, too. ;D

Usually from a tree, sometimes on the ground when situation needed but mostly from tree over food sources like acorns, persimmons or brows. Now when are out west we spot and stalk or still hunt with some calling. Pappy
