Finally took the family to the Hand of Man Museum in Maple Bay BC. For those that have never heard of it, it’s essentially the private museum of Jim Shockey and features tons of native artifacts, taxidermy, fossils etc. There were probably a couple dozen bows, some early glass, lemonwood bows, and some native bows, lots of arrows, spears, and points. A very fun stop and definitely a recommended stop for anyone who enjoys this sort of stuff and finds themselves on southern Vancouver island.

Looks like a cool place to visit :)
Not too much stuff, so you can actually take the time to appreciate what you are looking at.

I live an hour away and still haven’t gone myself. Do you live on the island or just visiting?

My parents moved to Duncan about 15 years ago. I’m down in Spokane and was just up visiting for the holidays. I usually make it back about 4-5 times a year. Where are you?
