Title: Bamboo bow backing slats.

Been looking at different outlets for bamboo backings. Echo archery looks to have a pretty good price on them especially if you are buying multiples. Seems like I remember them being a sponsor here at one point? Has anyone bought bamboo from them, and if so was the quality good. This will be my first boo backed bow and I wouldn’t know a good piece of boo from a bad piece.

I have purchased tapered bamboo from Carson at Echo Archery. I haven’t made a lot of bamboo-backed bows but I really like the quality of the bamboo I’ve received from him.  He is a very talented bowyer and a great guy to deal with. Good luck.

Start off right. Get some Madake from Jaap Koppendrayer at Yumi Bows. It's better bamboo and he knows how to select it and care for it. All cut and seasoned by him at his place.

This is your best awnser hehe. He grows it especially for bows.... the best stuff you can get!
