Title: old hedge clipper sheers knife
Post by: snedeker on October 15, 2021, 12:27:33 pm
I got the shears from my dad and I imagine they are upwards of 100 years old.  Had blades cut off.  Shaped partial hidden tang and added a Bocote and wenge handle  7" blade, 3/16" thick.  Still have to do some thinning because of the single bevel deal on the blade.  Question is how to finish the surface, polish, sand out.

Great to see you back, Dave.  Looks like a nice knife. I like the rustic look.

Nice. Looks like a pig sticker.

Cool looking knife, that should be some good steel. Guess you could sand it out, I would just be careful not to sand out the name on it, I think that is always cool when you can leave that.  :)
