Hey I have been staying up till the Wee Hours of the Morning trying to get something done ....working every day 12 hours a day sux....Well I finished these Three knives This Morning.....I think that they turned out nice....So I thought that I would Share them with You All..
The first one is Georgetown Flint Blade that is 6 inches long and 1 3/8" wide with nice flaking Scars down both sides...and was serrated with a flattened Copper Nail....the Handle is from a Shed that I picked up along one of Our only flowing Creeks here in the Panhandle and I hafted it to the Blade with Gut Hafting and Hide Glue....overall length with the curved Antler Handle is just over 11 inches
The Second Knife is made from a Mahogany Obsidian Blade that is 4 inches long and 1 1/2" wide...it has awesome colors and really looks cool when you look at it in the Sun....The Handle is my Signature Cholla Cactus with a Birdseye Maple Pommel....it is also Hafted with Gut and Hide Glue
The Third and Final Knife is made from Ribbone Obsidian....it's Blade is 4 3/8" long and 1 5/8" wide....t has some nice scars on it too and it is Hafted to a nice gnarly piece of Cholla with Gut Hafting and Hide Glue too..
These two Matching Knives were made for Gifts for my Youngest Brother and my Father....I tried to get them to be as exact as Possible ....while still being different enough to be Personal....I think I pulled it off
I want to thank Do-Da for another nice bunch of knapped Blades for Me.....I find it a privilege to put His Blades to use in my Knives....He is an Awesome Old Man....that I hold in High Regards......Onjida Niijii Wag
