Title: Is the gathering at Glass Buttes on?

Just wondering if the gathering at the buttes is on this year? My cousin is working about a hour from there. He has been to the buttes twice by himself collecting material. He would really like to meet some knappers and attend the gathering.

It’s usually during spring break Bc a lot of the ppl that attend are teachers. You can check there FB page and see what’s up.

I’m thinking if they did it it already happened by now. My cousin did a little checking but couldn’t find anything that it was on.

Wish he could meet some knappers out there.

He’s gotten pretty good at making spalls

Lots of pro knappers here in Oregon. What area is he in?

That’s what I have been telling him. His job has him in the Redmond area right now.

Oh he’s in the hub! So many knappers in the Bend/Sister/Redmond area. Shoot Steve Allely is in the next town over.

Not that I’m aware of. Then again he can always have a little knapping shin-dig of his own. Post it on the central Oregon knappers (or whatever it is) page. And invite some folks to hang out and break some rocks.
