Title: First bow progress

Post by: eastcreekarchery on October 19, 2020, 03:57:50 pm: I added some reflex at the tips. The wood grain is very pretty in the sun. Still have to finish sanding and sealing the bow. Don't have a draw weight yet but it draws to 28".

I found it on a tree service wood pile so I dont know when it was cut. I think the rest of the staves need to season some more though.

No i pretty much started working on the bow right away bc i had some time off work to make the bow. It definitely should have been seasoned a little more though and the bow took some set. Im going to let the rest of the staves season properly. I got 8 staves from the log.

it seems like we have gotten 3 or 4 beginners that on their first try made amazing bows. it really cool to see!
