Does rattan hold curves with dry heat

Maybe boiling or steaming.

No steaming or boiling, just dry heat. Just wait for the bended part to cool out, and go on making a bow. Corrections can be made with dry heat at any time of the progress. The two kid's bows in the pics were made in one day from one piece of Rattan.

Thanks frank that is very helpful because I have a heat gun but don’t have any idea how I would a steamer as I don’t have much space

You can always check for plain rattan sticks online. My two bows are 10§ worth of material.
