Title: Lookin forward to deer season
Post by: kdub on April 28, 2008, 08:52:23 am
I went and sat in the blind waitin' for hogs yesterday.  I changed my setup a little by sittin'back a little farther in the brush.  The wind was perfectly comin from the north while I sat on the south side of the trail.  I saw no hogs, but a nice doe walked up to within ten yards of me, and stood there broadside.  I drew on her to see if she would bust me or not, and after sending an imaginary arra into her heart I slowly lowered by bow again.  Seeing that doe so close made it worth gettin' up early.

I gotta calm down! Yep, I'm thinking about next deer season - and the shorty bow I need to finish, and the arra's I need to get done, and and ;D. When that moment finally does arrise - seems like I'm ready and just settle into a peaceful calm, ahhhhh ;D..

I gotta find a place to hunt deer this year.  Most of the public land around me doesnt allow deer hunting, just birds and hogs. I dont know why, it seems like there are plenty of deer.
