Title: Oak Leaf Identification

Hey guys, anyone able to tell me what type of Oak Tree this leaf is from?

Some type of white oak. Maybe post or bur oak.

Yes.  White oaks have rounded lobes on the leaves, red oaks have points on their lobes.

See I was of the same opinion.. but here's the curve ball.

Attached is a photo of the heartwood. I know white oak isn't necessarily always white but seems pretty dark for a white oak to me? 🤔

Looks like bur oak to me.  I've never been able to grow one big enough to use the wood, so I have no idea what it looks like inside.   ;D

need to take a pic of end.. that is just cambium ...leaf looks like white oak family..if inside is dark Id say blackjack oak...blackjack is a killer smoking wood too...  gut
