Cowboy, got to work on your points today at work. here are what they look like, still need a little clean up. Made fron 16 penny nail and they weigh 140grains. weight can be decreased by shortening the nail. they shine up real good with a little shooting. If you have got to ask how much they cost you can't afford them, oh I am talking about how much they cost the oil company. Kenneth

Here is one I installed in a cane arrow, the longest one in the last pic. The colored bands behind the point is thread serving set in glue. This particular point weighed about 128 gr so I left the shank full length.
These points work very well for cane arrows, Kenneth. Now if I can only remember where the rest of them are. ;D Pat

Oops. wrong pic of the arrows. Sorry for the poor quality pics. Pat
-
Pat, funny how that remembering thing works. Kenneth

:-[ ;D

Funny coincidence- I was putting points on some cane arrows today and I came across three of these same points that Pat gave me a year or two ago and I had completly forgotten about. I put one of them on an arrow, shoots great. Kenneth, you're on to something there, I like 'em.

What are the Point made from??? I must have missed it..........I know that the Shaft is a Nail...but what is on the Nails Head???
-
I build it up with brass by braze welding with a torch and brass welding rod and then spin them with a drill moror while gringing to a point. I got the idea while using a regular nail for a blunt, then thinks I can make a pointed one. The only reason I don't use them more is because I mostly mount stone or trade points on my cane arrows. They are perfect for three d targets and I have never seen any one else with them so they are pretty unique. Kenneth

Really cool Idea.....Can I Steal it??
>:D
-
Maybe you had best just borrow it. Just kidding, use the idea if it works for you. Kenneth
-
I guess Asking already gives me away.....huh!!!!!!!
-
Just came across this Kenneth - cool idea, thanks. I have several fletched shafts in the truck that I was going to put stone points on, now I can have more to loose at targets ;D. See ya there..
-
I was wondering about welding a washer to a nail. The short end of the nail would be the point, the washer would be the stop against the end of the shafts, the rest of the nail would be the tang glued into the shaft.
Mark in England
-
Pat, I think you gave them to me. ;D You gave me a dozen last year at your place and I gave some to Bob.
-
Mark, should work good. Would give the point a way to seat into the shaft, then you would have a nail point that would not push back into the shaft if you hit something solid. Kenneth
-
Those are pretty cool Kenneth, might hafta dig out the torch :D...Brian
-
Now I remember where all my points went! ::) Eddies got some, Steve's got some...anyone else out there got any of my nail points? >:( Pat
-
Pat you forgot Bob, not to worry< I will make you some tomorrow. Kenneth
-
Pat, no fair-you like Eddie better, you just let me steal three. ;D
-
I thought you Parkers shared everything anyway. I guess Eddie ain't playing fair. >:(
By the way, there might be a 4th Parker showing up at the classic :o. James e-mailed me( ???) the other day and asked for directions. If I see all 4 of you standing together, I ain't coming near in case of a sniper! :D
Kenneth, I guess Eddie decided to SHARE with Bob. I wonder why not with Steve? ??? Pat
-
Durn Floridians. ;D Pat, I talked to James last week, sounds like he's getting back into everything and doing good. Hope he gets to come, Chris should be there, too. That's a load of Parkers to have in one place at the same time, I think it's legal. ;D
-
??? ::)
-
If it happen's we sure need a HIGH RESOLUTION picture. ;D, And legal? Didn't the Parker's enforce the game laws in Merry ol' England? >:D ;)
-
Thats what James is doing now where he lives. :o Pat
-
Yea I heard, talked to Cade Sunday. But see that just shows how honest and trustworthy we all are.Everybody trust the Parker's with their Deer.
