Title: Seax
Post by: TRiggs on May 31, 2020, 04:36:34 pm
I am almost finished with this blade it still needs polished more and some poly on the handle.
This was a request from my nephew and I still need to make a sheath for it, the blade is10 inches long of 5160 it's a heavy blade but a seax is a heavy knife, the guard is copper and the pommel is copper, silver and brass the handle is black palm . This was a fun blade to forge the rest of it not so much, because it is so heavy I wanted something as a counter weight for a pommel and the skull is 2.5oz and makes it balance right in front of the guard. Any comments are welcome enjoy. Todd

Nice!  The prettying up is harder than the putting together!
