Title: I have a question

I just finished an asiatic bamboo bow...its made only from bamboo....i will put the pictures in abute 2 hours....i just wanna ask you.....whatt finish its best for all bamboo bows...i know that bamboo its verry sensibile toclimate changes....do you think a linnsed oil finish will be ok for a bow like that..thks a lot...and i will put the picture real soon ;D

Bamboo is quite hygroscopic, meaning it takes on and releases moisture. I think that I would use a finish that encapsulated the bow instead of one that soaks in like the linseed oil. You could use both. Start with t good hand rubbing of boiled linseed oil and after a few days of drying time cover the bow with varnish, poly or even shellac.  The shellac would be less durable.    Pat
