Here is a clean, unembellished Osage self bow I made a little while back. The bow is 64" long and pulls 42#28". It's finished with tru oil and has a D97 string.

Looks great. That's the only style bow I make. Can't see any reason to change. I might have not gone quite so deep on the string grooves... I also make my handles like that--no bumps or swells.

Simply beautiful. Those nocks look very narrow, can you tell us what the width is inside the nock?

Thank you. I think it may be a bit of an optical illusion with the nocks. The shadows in one of those pictures make it look extremely narrow between the string grooves but in reality they were fairly standard in proportion. I don't have the bow anymore so I couldn't measure it or get a different picture.

Looks like good wood. Nice rig.
Hard to hang an arrow from stand hunting but off ground it will work.
