Nicely done sir. I will be watching for that bow in the hunting section come season. Good Luck with the moose and bear. Bet the grouse are going to taste great.

Where is the hunting section?

Strum, if you go to the Home page and scroll down you will find a shooting&hunting section.

Nice looking bow by the way.

Congrats. Is that a Cedar/juniper bow? It looks great. Can you post more photos of it?

It's my favorite section. The bottom of section is mostly shooting and some hunting related information.
The top section has pictures from Primitive Hunts and stories of those Hunts. You can go back several years. Very interesting. I go back and reread them. Sometimes I even reread mine and the hunt all just replays in my head. Awesome

Good stuff guy. Whoa...…..I'm jealous, what arrow tips ya using, were the grouse in the trees or ground..? And nice bow..!
-
Nice bow! The grouse will look good " Under glass". With thyme and tarragon, maybe some blueberries stuffed inside, and a bit of sea salt!

Woodely, I just had rubber blunts on fluflus. you might be able to see the arrow in the background hung up in the branches. One got it right in the head. the other was winged and my dog finished him off with a head chomp as he flopped on the ground. Both grouse were in trees.
Hawkdancer, That is a great idea and I will give it a go next time. These ones ended up fried in bacon grease in a cast iron skillet over a fire. Some of it was added to my chili as well.

Sound like a good story for the cooking section. Primitive Archery Magazine was offering a free subscription to anyone who sent in a Primitive cooking story that was excepted. Short story, recipe and pictures. I'm thinking grouse in a iron skillet and bacon grease cooked over fire would quality.

Great job! you really have to be accurate to get a bird! it is hard for me to shoot a 3d turkey so thats a big win in my books!

Deerhunter21- Grouse hunting is pretty fun. But you can get pretty close... They call them stupid chickens for a reason. :-)
