Title: Apple shortbow "Stormhunter"
Post by: dreamcraft_archery on February 10, 2019, 04:26:36 am
Hi again!
Firstly, I am very thankful for such kind welcome.
I'd like to share one of my favourite bows. It's made from apple tree branch. It has very specific design - I simply adore playing with staves and making various bows. Flax backing and full cow horn nocks. It draws about 35lbs at 19" and it's only 46" long . About 1,5cm reflex at rest. Linseed oil finish.
I named it "Stormhunter" inspired by one of the photos.

To be honest it's wrapped only to look good.  ;D

I love working with apple wood, and I love the tiller on that little bow, I bet it spits out an arrow really fast, I was just wondering if those levers couldn't be slimmed down a little?
