Here's a 100% Wenge bow I just finished... figured I'd share since you just don't see them very often, especially unbacked. (shoots great too)

Looks like a nice bow but I'd be afraid of the cut out window. Not much meat there.
Can we see a full draw pic?

Yep, Don't see that very often. Wenge, known to tricky to get a bow out of. Massive cut out shelf. Stacking the odds against yourself, but you pulled off the trick. Well done.

Hope that stays together for for you ,sure is pretty wood.what poundage did you get from it ?

40# @ 28" on this one.

Could we see a picture of the arrow pass from the front or back? Like the archers view? I'm always fascinated to see what you can get away with. Did you reinforce it in any way?

I'll have to see if I can get some more pictures... this bow was built to have the arrow 1/16" off of center. (there's probably more meat there than it looks... the bow is 2" wide)... The only real concern I had with it is I could have used a thicker handle block than I did.

Yeah that's some pretty wood. Would love to see FD and unbraced.

I'll try to get some more pictures a little later today when my wife can take the full draw pic... has about 1" of set after shooting and unstringing, settles in to 1/2" or so when rested.

Nice work! Way above my skill level! I like the color of the wenge wood, and it definitely has a window pass. I would think it would hold up well at 40#, as wide as it is. Good luck!

Well done, that stuff is tricky! The sharp edges on the back scare me though because I had lift splinters even in handle sections with that wood ;D
