I'm planning to linen back this now, and I have some scrap cuttings I'd like to use as tip reinforcers. My question is, should I linen back all the way to the tips and then glue the reinforcers on top of the linen, or glue the reinforcers on first and run the linen up to them?

I almost have the reflex even in both limbs, once it comes off the heat form again I'll be gluing on the tip reinforcers (wood to wood of course). Then, tomorrow I'm going to put the line backing on.

Glued the tip reinforcers yesterday, got the linen laid on this evening.

We call the reinforcers "overlays".

I wondered who would break first ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the heads up, still learning the lingo.

Put a few coats of "Dark Walnut" stain on the linen.
