Greetings folks. I received a lot of positive feedback from the podcast episode I released in April featuring badger (Steve Gardner), so I thought I would start recording the occasional episode with other bowyers. This month I recorded one with New Hampshire bowyer George Tsoukalas. We talk about how he got into making bows, species of woods he favors, how hunting is a way to get people closer to the land, and his advice for folks who want to learn to make their first bow, among other things. George maintains the traditionalarchery101 website that many folks refer new bowyers to.
If you want to listen to the episode, it is #79 of my podcast A Worldview Apart. You can find the podcast on most podcatchers (iTunes, Stitcher, Spotify, etc.), so it should be easy to find. You can also listen through my website. PM me if you need a link. Enjoy! And thanks George for taking the time!

And you know why he uses the nickname Jawge!

Yes, indeed. That is what my wife calls me and what I call myself...come to think of it. :) Jawge

Just listened to the podcast. Thanks George and Eric for doing that. So interesting how we come from so many different backgrounds but what draws us to wooden bow making seems so similar. I really enjoyed it.

It is interesting, definitely. I hope to reach out to other bowyers to record similar interviews. If anyone has ideas about who I should reach out to, I am all ears.

Just listened to this episode last night out in my garage. Another great interview Eric. Jawge, you did an excellent job, giving lots of valuable information, especially for those just getting started. Thank you for all you have done for the primitive archer community.
Keep em coming Eric...
