well gentlemen its been a long long time since ive been on here. hoping you all are doing ok and are all healthy and safe. anyways down to business lol I have a stave of hickory that's about 69inches long. is it feasible to make an ELB from this? I assumed it was ok because its hickory for crying out loud but I figured Id ask. I have made a bow in so long.

I cant remember fully, but are you the fella that made the red oak bow for your dad? Good to see your fire burning again.

Hickory lends itself to a wider bow design than an elb. I have only seen one hickory elb and it took a lot of set.
