Cooked Kaolin and raw Mill Creek.

That first one is a dandy. John

Thanks guys!
Hawk: yep, one of the many ways Kaolin can look. It's one like Flint Ridge...there is soooo many color and quality variations of it.

Man that clovis is Awesome!! Great stone also>

I'm liking that material, great looking points. Nice work!

Good clean work. That first one is a keeper for sure.

They both look nice but the first one is a beauty.
Where do you get Kaolin at?

Thanks guys
Trapper: Kaolin comes from southern IL. I collect it myself.

I’m gonna go against everyone, that second one has such nice scarring and just looks like what I would be proud to show off. The first is a cool material and the flute did really well!
Good job! I can’t wait for the snow to melt and the nights to be warm so I can knap again.

Southern Illinois? Interesting. I saw you are in St. Charles - I lived a little north of you growing up.
You should hook up with Keith Syers sometime when you head south. He is in the area in Kentucky - right on the other side of the river.

Parnell: I grew up in Springfield, IL. Moved to the Chicago suburbs around 18 and went to college in southern IL so I have roots all over this state. Usually when I'm down south I'm traveling that way for a knap in though.
