Title: Osage Short Bow
Post by: redhillwoods on January 27, 2018, 12:19:15 pm
This bow came from a small Osage branch a few minutes from my house. The stave had a sharp bend which I centred the bow from which set the handle back 3-4". I made it #26 but it was grossly overdrawn by someone who didn't know better. I re-tillered it down to #20 to even it out and it shoots quite quickly.
#20 @ 21"  52"ntn.

"it was grossly overdrawn by someone who didn't know better" just made me cringe! Yet there is little sign of string follow. Amazing. Osage, you truly are king!

Nice lil bow mate. Thanks for sharing
