Post by: paulc on March 07, 2017, 08:47:30 am
So a neighbor learned last week I am trying to figure out flint knapping so he brought these by yesterday.  Says they were found in Talulla Gorge area...Pretty neat stuff.

I'm not a knapper but those look awful clean compared to the one I just found in the creek Sunday.

I've never seen that style in Ga.

My first thought was NE India. A friend that lives in NE Ga. brought me some small points he bought and they were made in India.

We camped near Talulla Gorge a couple years ago. There is an antique/junk shop off the highway heading south just past the gorge that was selling points similar to these. He also had many rock, gem and minerals for sale - some foreign and some from the USA. Rick B
