Here's a BBO I just finished up. I don't usually post my bows but I asked a lot of questions about this one and you guys were a lot of help. It also turned out nicer than most of my boss. It is 64" ntn and 48#@28". I did a little wood burningbelow the handle and finished it with wipe on satin poly. No stain. It holds about 3/4" of reflex after being unbiased for a bit. Really a smooth shooting bow. I know the tiller isn't perfect but it has a few hundred shots through it and send to be doing fine and I don't want to lose more weight. Lee,
It looks great, how about some details on dimensions.
Width of the Osage, thickness, Did you pre-taper the Osage? I am going to attempt my first BBO in the near future.
Thanks Sean
-
Nice artwork on it , you have got that deer just right :) ......and it is a great bow too :)
-
Thanks guys. Bluegill I didn't taper the bamboo but I flattened it to 1/8" on my father in laws jointer. It is 1-1/2" wide and tapers to 3/8" tips. The osage I think I tapered from 1/2" to 9/16" at the tips prior to gluing. I used tb3 because the unibond I ordered was half set up when I opened it
-
Really good, Lee, esp. at the shorter length. I bet it is a snappy little shooter.
-
Very nice Bbo, you did great
-
Thanks guys. It started out at 68" tip to tip and I ended up piking it twice
-
Very nice D/R bow first off.Great burn true to life art work.Your whole set up is very nice with the quiver and arrows too.
-
Thank you I made the quiver a few years ago and is held up great through done rough treatment
